Ray Peters - January 27, 1983 - July 12, 2002

RAYMOND M. PETERS 19, formerly of Newark, California and Fredonia, New York, died Friday, July 12, 2002 as the result of automobile accident in Futlon, Missouri. He was born January 27, 1983 in Fredonia, the son of Raymond L. and Mary Anne (Tramuta) Peters, and lived there for most of his life before moving to the Bay Area to live with his brother and sister-in-law. He attended schools in the Fredonia school district and graduated from the New Haven Adult School in Union City, California. He also served in the U.S. Navy and worked for various restaurants and business in the Bay Area and Fredonia. He had a passion for cooking and enjoying life to the fullest. His quick wit and wry smile won over many and he will be deeply missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing him. Besides his parents, he is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Wilfredo and Margaret Fuentes of Hayward, California, a sister, Katelyn Peters of Fredonia, and his fiancee, Chrystal Shiverdecker of Fulton. He is predeceased by his grandparents, Martha and Gerald Tramuta, and Dorothy and Paul Peters, as well as an uncle, Gerald Tramuta Jr.; all who reside in the western New York area. Memorial and funeral services were held at the Fantauzzi Funeral Home and St. Anthony's Church in Fredonia. Burial services took place at the St. Joseph's Cemetery in Sheridan, New York.
